Group Lessons

Beginners can join a group lesson or organise a private lesson. We offer the best value on the coast because we are owner operators, but we also have the most experienced and qualified coaches on the coast!

For those who have done more than one lesson and are paddling and standing with confidence, the group lesson will be divided to accommodate you. Your coach will assess the conditions on the day and decide on the best section of beach to surf in. Individual feedback is given, and tips for perfecting your style.

What is Taught ?

Learn to Surf lessons include instruction in paddling, wave catching, various prone to feet methods, surfboard design and Surf Safety.

Combining the best Learn to Surf instruction, on the best (soft, safe) most suitable equipment at the most consistent location, guarantees your Surfing Lesson success.

Like all Gold Coast Surf Schools ,we run all our lessons on a maximum of 8 students to a coach but the average is 6 or less so you are guaranteed plenty of attention !!!

We also won't make you spend half your lesson running around on the beach, or put you out in the water with groups of 40-60. We value our reputation for Safety and want our clients to have the best chance for enjoyment & Success.

How many lessons will you need?

We have a near perfect record for getting you up quickly on the first lesson (we don’t waste hours sitting on the beach doing theory)
Generally people like to come 3-4 times to gain confidence and learn turning & traversing skills, and to experiment with different boards, but no pressure will be put on you to take lots of Surfing Lessons. For this reason we offer a FREE lesson deal. Prepay for 3 lessons and we will give you the 4th one free ( $75 for 4 lessons/student, $90 for 4 lessons/Adult)

Who can be Taught?

Anyone with a bit of fitness, desire and flexibility.
Beginner Surfing Lessons are conducted in shallow water( feet on the bottom, you don’t have to paddle out)

Group lessons are a great cost effective introduction to surfing, and fun for all ages. Bring friends to surf with, make new ones, or have the whole family out surfing together.
We run our groups on a maximum of 8 participants to a coach, but generally our average is much lower and you can expect plenty of attention and feedback from your coaches. The group lessons run daily through school holidays at 9.00, and every Saturday and Sunday all year long , also at 9.00
The lessons are an hour and a half long, and a rashshirt/wetsuit and soft safe surfboard are supplied for your lesson.
